Card Description: For my lottery card I wanted to share my thoughts on pollution because I think it is something we have to be aware of as humans since we have to take more care of the planet and also because it is a global issue that affects health, the environment and wildlife. I also, to help us understand how our daily actions impact the world around us. The colors of the piece represent blue, representing the color of the sea since it is one of the main landfills that companies use to throw away their waste and contaminants, red represents all the deaths due to pollution and gray represents the air. contaminated that there is all over the planet. For me, this card represents an urgent environmental challenge that requires awareness, action and change to protect our planet and future generations. It is an issue that needs our attention and is a collective effort to find sustainable solutions. I chose the topic because it is important to understand how our daily actions impact the environment and how we can collaborate to reverse it or reduce these impacts. Additionally, it is a fascinating topic full of possibilities for positive change. In my process of researching pollution I learned about water, air and soil, domestic and agricultural industrial causes and also discovered how people and communities can work together to reduce pollution. Some assumptions that changed were that I thought that pollution was only related to garbage, factories, and large industries, but I learned that pollution can also be related to our daily habits such as driving cars or using chemicals at home. Personally, it was an interesting topic but it also created awareness in me and helped me change my way of thinking and act better on this topic and to become better informed and improve the use of some things.
